The Licorise Root Extract (Glycyrrhiza glabra) of Solgar has antiallergic , antiinflammatory , antibacterial and antiviral properties . It also has a detoxifying action is stimulating the adrenal glands. Useful in cases of flu , colds, herpes , burnout-related adrenal stress , allergic conditions and allergic rhinitis.
Researchers found that the factor responsible for the classic symptoms of overdose Licorice, such as hypertension, sodium retention , potassium loss and muscle weakness, is glycyrrhizin . The deglycyrrhised form of Licorice ( raises hypertensive events) is often used to treat ulcers , cough and bronchial spasms . In Chinese medicine is also considered a tonic herb .
